Augustus & Smith Compete In New Hampshire
Camiko Smith and Daniel Augustus both took part in the 2014 New Hampshire Open, with both players missing the cut.
Augustus shot an Opening Round of 5-over par 77. Augustus started out on the back nine with back to back Pars, which was followed by a Bogey on twelve, a Birdie on thirteen,a Bogey on fourteen, Double Bogey on fifteen, Bogey on sixteen, before closing out with back to back Pars to make the turn at 4-over.
Augustus started out the front nine with back to back Pars, but recorded his fourth Bogey of the round on the third hole, which was followed by a Par and then a Birdie on the par 3 fifth. Augustus closed out with Par, Bogey, Par and Par.
Smith shot an opening round 11-over par 83, Smith started out on the Back Nine and ran off three consecutive Pars, he then had a Birdie on the par 5 thirteenth to move to 1-under par. Back to back Pars was followed by a Double Bogey on the par 4 sixteenth saw him move to 1-over, but Smith recovered and shot a Birdie on the par 5 seventeenth to move back to Even Par, a Par on the 18th saw him make the turn at Even.
The front nine proved to be problematic for Smith as he started out with back to back Double Bogey’s, he recorded two more Double Bogey’s on the sixth and eighth holes, he had Bogey’s on the third, fifth and ninth holes while recording Pars on the fourth and seventh holes.
