Thank you to all that is SHOPPING locally!!!! We need more of this !!!
It is all the PLPs fault. People don’t have the monee to be off on quick shopping trips. Well…that & the airlines make things less than worthwhile for taking shopping trips with bag weight reduction to 50# & charging for bags. Next they will be charging to use the air vents.
Nothing to do with any Political Party – People are just out looking for a good deal!
Shopping Bermudians and Business owners have figured out its better to buy here if a good deal is offered
other than spending money on a $350 Airline Ticket and $350 on Hotel abroad – thats and average of
$700 before the shopping starts.- this started some 6 years ago – it’s just that its popularity has gained momentum.
It’s all relative, that money ends up leaving the island anyway when the stores by product from foreign companies.
The difference is that when you buy locally, some of that money stays in the local economy. The people who are employed locally then in turn can support you by buying your products or services, and keeping you employed. Amazon won’t.
And when you order online all of the money you save stays on island in the local economy.
I’ll be there shortly – selling umbrellas.
I’ll be there in 1 hour selling drinks and snacks
Anyone selling coffee and hot chocolate should do well tonight
To all in the rain, plz be safe out there. Your health means more then a phone.
Sad. Don’t tell me tough economic times etc, they are buying iPhones!
Get a life people, it is throwing it down out there.
Who cares what they’re buying? It’s they’re money—not yours. I salute the customers braving the lines *and* the business owners and employees working hard from 4AM (and earlier).
Love seeing entrepreneurial spirit in Bermuda. I’m only too glad Black Friday has come to our shores and that it is such an event.
RJ Poor grammar! “It’s THEIR money” not It’s they’re money!! The Phoenix was open early, maybe you should hv gone there to purchase the book “English at Hand”! IJS
Yes, because standing in the rain has been known to make people seriously ill. NOT!
Hate to be the last one in line and be told sorry sold out!!!
I’d love to be there and slow clap them out as they sadly slump off to work having wasted the whole night!!
Well, in theory, at that point you’d actually be first in line then… once having been last in line…
