BEPRO To Host Black History Month Lunch
Bermuda’s Emerging Professionals [BEPRO] invites all to attend its second annual Black History Month Lunch and Learn themed “Honouring the Past, Inspiring the Future,” on Thursday February 26, 2015.
“Leaders of Bermuda’s political, cultural and human rights arenas will be centre stage at the lunchtime event, to be held on the third floor at the Human Rights Commission from 12 to 1 pm,” a spokesperson said.
“The event, an annual initiative of the professional organisation, sets out to honour Bermuda’s vibrant Black History by highlighting successful black individuals in today’s community.
“This year, the guest speakers include Walton Brown and Shadow Minister of Immigration and Cultural Affairs, Gavin Smith, Executive Director and founder of Chewstick and Lisa Reed, the Executive Office of the Human Rights Commission. All are welcome to come and hear each speaker’s success stories, in an effort to pay homage to those influential leaders of the past.”
“We’re really excited to be hosting this Lunch and Learn for the second time. Last year it was a success and we had a great turnout. Our attendees left inspired to go out and achieve their meaning of success. I’m looking for the same great turnout as last year and for everyone to be impacted by our speakers”, said Salintae Tuzo-Smith, Chair.
This Lunch and Learn is one of many in a series of professional initiatives offered by BEPRO and is free for BEPRO members and just $10 for non-members. A complimentary light lunch will also be provided. Contact Beprobermuda@gmail.com today to reserve your spot for this informational event!
