YAO 2015 Season Underway In The East End
The Marlins fell 14-10 to the Orioles in six innings as the 2015 YAO Baseball Season got underway at the YAO Baseball Field, despite racking up six hits and 10 runs.
Billy Montgomery racked up two RBI’s on two hits for the Marlins. He singled in the second and doubled in the fifth inning. On the Orioles Stephon Paynter, Dylan Sommerville, Alex Bordage and Nigel Tucker-Talbot combined for eight hits and 5 RBIs.
The Marlins jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first and held the lead until the bottom of the sixth when the Orioles went up for good scoring seven runs on two errors, a ground out by Jackson Spurling and an RBI single by Paynter. Nic Martin got the win in relief for the Marlins pitching one inning and allowed no runs.
