Records Fall During 2015 School Relay Classic
Several records fell during the 2015 School Relay Classic which was put on by the Bermuda Pacers Track Club at the National Sports Center.
Paget Primary Girls ran to victory and a new event record during the Girls Primary 400 meter race clocking a time of 56.97, West Pembroke finished second with a time of 58.64 and Elliott finished third with a time of 1:02.11.
Another record was broken, this time in the Boys Primary 400 meter race, Elliott Primary won the final with a time of 56.39, but it was their time of 55.63 during the Preliminaries with set the record. Paget Primary finished second in the final clocking a time of 57.85 and Victor Scott finished third with a time of 58.51.
T.N Tatem’s Girls 400 meter Middle School team set a new record when they broke the tape in a time of 51.63, Whitney Institute finished second clocking a time of 52.08 and Sandy’s Secondary finished third clocking 54.10.
Another record was broken during the Girls 400 Meter High School race as the Cedarbridge Academy team finished with a record time of 50.57. Berkeley Institute’s B team finished second with a time of 51.34 and the Berkeley Institute C team finished third clocking 52.86.
Breaking the tape in a record time of 4:54.60 during the Girls 1600 Meter Primary School race saw West Pembroke stand on top of the podium, while Northlands finished second with a time of 5:15.10 and Purvis finished third clocking 5:37.76.
The Boys 1600 Meter Middle School record was also broken on the night by T.N Tatem who’s team clocked a time of 3:55.12, Sandy’s Secondary finished second with a time of 4:02.19 and Whitney Institute finished third with a time of 4:08.63.
The Berkeley institute would also set a new record, theirs came during the Girls 1600 Meter High School race when they crossed the line first with a time of 4:06.06, the Cedarbridge Academy A team finished second with a time of 4:17.03 and the Cebdarbridge Academy B team finished third clocking 4:27.74.
Not to be outdone by their Girls team the Berkeley Institute Boys 1660 Meter High School A team set a new record when they clocked a time of 3:29.97, the Berkeley Institute B team finished second with a time of 3:33.28 and the Cedarbridge Academy finished third clocking 3:39.28.
The Pembroke Hamilton Club’s Community Men’s 1600 meter team set a new record clocking a time of 3:43.21, with Burpy’s Bullet’s finishing second clocking 3:52.70 and the Bermuda Union of Teachers finished third with a time of 4:02.87.
