Video: Pacers Team Return Home With Medals
[Updated] Bermuda Pacers Club athletes returned home last night [June 1] after winning over a dozen medals in the Florida Gliders 23rd Annual Spring Track Classic at the Lake Brantley High School Campus Stadium in Altamonte Spring, Florida on Saturday May 30th.
12 year old Za`Kayza Parson earned two golds and a silver when she placed first in the 11-12 year old girls 100 Meter Dash in a time of 13.15 and the 200 Meter Dash with a time of 27.53. The silver came with the 4.22m leap in Long Jump.
Selah Tuzo won two gold medals when she recorded a time of 2:29.10 in the 800 Meter Run 11-12 year old Girls and 5:39.96 in the 1 Mile Run for 11-12 year old girls.

Taylor Hines won bronze when she ran the 400 Meter Dash for 13-14 year old girls in a time of 1:02.22. Hines also took part in the 100 Meter Dash recording a time of 13.23, the 200 Meter Dash with a time of 26.88 and Long Jump with a 4.21m leap.
Competing overseas for the first time was 13 year old LeeKaysia Burch who walked away with two silvers after a 9.34m throw in Shot Put for 13-14 year old Girls, and her 19.78m result in the Discus Throw.
Clevonte Lodge won silver in the 100 Meter Dash for 13-14 year old boys in a time of 12.28 and bronze in the 200 Meter Dash with a time of 25.07. Lodge also took part in the 400 Meter Dash recording a time of 57.59 alongside teammate Sajan Harvey who recorded a time of 58.63. Harvey would also earn the silver in the 800 Meter Run with a time of 2:11.38.
Jayden Ming won gold in the 3000 Meter Run for 13-14 year old boys with a time of 9:51.29 while teammate Ryan Outerbridge took bronze in the same event with a time of 10:15.19. The Bermuda Pacers Track Club team won gold in the 4×400 Meter Relay for 13-14 year old boys running a time of 4:00.95.
Update 2.50pm: Shadow Sports Minister Michael Weeks said, “The Progressive Labour Party extends our congratulations to the Bermuda Pacers Track team on a successful performance at the 23rd Central Florida Gliders Spring Track Classic at the Lake Brantley High School in Altamonte Springs, Florida, over the weekend.
“Our special congratulations are to Selah Tuzo who won 2 gold medals (the 11-12 year old mile, and the 800m final), Jayden Ming, who took home and gold and a silver, and Leekaysia Burch, who won 2 silvers.
“We also extend congratulations to other medalists, Ryan Outerbridge, Clevonte Lodge, Taylor Hines, and Za’Kayza Parsons.

Sajan, Ryan, Jayden i treasure the memories of you all being Tariq’s competitors on the track and being team members on PHC Football team (Sajan) I make every effort to still keep up with the Bermy news and continue to see how much you all continue to be involved in track and you all are improving everyday:) Much respect to your families for their continued love and support.
Yeah Clevonte!!!!! good going cousin!!! the Simons/Smith/Bean and all the other family members are extremely PROUD of you. Bermy must watch out I know there will be commentating saying “Lodge from Bermuda” in Carifta and then in the Olympics:)
