PLP Host Southampton Back To School Fun Day
Southampton MP Zane Desilva recently hosted the ninth Annual Back To School Fun day at Southampton Rangers, providing school supplies, refreshments and fun and games for area children.
A PLP spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Progressive Labour Party Southampton East Central/Constituency 29 Branch would like to thank our constituents and sponsors for yet another successful Back to School Event. Held at Southampton Rangers last Thursday, this was the 9th Annual Back to School event held by that PLP branch.
“This year’s PLP Constituency 29 Back to School Event saw nearly 200 area youths and over 50 toddlers participate alongside parents, grandparents and other family members.”
Area MP Zane Desilva said, “The kickoff of the school year provides a great opportunity for the PLP to give back to the community and show our young people how much we love and appreciate them.
“We are grateful to have had the opportunity over the past 9 years, with the help of our sponsors, to provide some school supplies along with a day of fun and community spirit for our people.”
