Alex Hindson Joins Argo As Chief Risk Officer
Argo Group International Holdings, Ltd., an international underwriter of specialty insurance and reinsurance products today announced that Alex Hindson has been appointed as chief risk officer.

“Alex’s strategic leadership and extensive experience in successfully managing risk-related challenges and opportunities for global insurance providers will serve us well as we continue to grow in today’s complex environment.”
Mr. Hindson joins Argo Group from Amlin AG where he served as chief risk officer for the company’s Bermuda and Zurich operations.
Previously, Mr. Hindson held a number of key leadership roles in risk management at Amlin plc, Aon Global Risk Consulting and AstraZeneca.
He has a master’s honors degree in chemical engineering from University of Nottingham and a master’s degree in integrated environmental management from University of Bath.
Mr. Hindson is also a Fellow at the Institute of Risk Management [IRM], where he served as chair in 2010-2011.
