Premier: Impressed By Professionalism, Pride
In his Labour Day message extended to the civil service, Premier Michael Dunkley said he has “been impressed by the professionalism and pride that I have seen in meeting rooms and at job sites across the Island” and thanked civil servants for their “commitment to a better Bermuda.”
“Please accept my best wishes for an enjoyable Labour Day weekend,” the Premier said.
“Labour Day is an important holiday for Bermuda, reminding all of us that our progress continues to depend on the sweat and skill of organized working men and women everywhere.
“As Bermuda Government public officers, you are part of a labour force that possesses an amazing range of expertise and manpower which contributes greatly to the functioning of the island and helping to move us forward.
“In my time as a Government Minister and as Premier, I have been impressed by the professionalism and pride that I have seen in meeting rooms and at job sites across the Island.
“Bermuda continues to face serious challenges, however I am confident we will overcome them and move from strength to strength, working together for the good of our Island home. Thank you for your commitment to a better Bermuda.
“Have a safe and relaxing Labour Day weekend,” Premier Dunkley concluded.
The government is too cozy with the OBA. Too many civil servants in meetings. Cut the civil service.
Quo Fata Ferunt
Thanks Vallllahreeeee.
Bull S!@#, action speaks louder then words, you and your party’s actions speak for themselves.
That’s why you’re not welcome.
Interesting assumption that he speaks for the OBA about cutting the CS, when the OBA government track record shows they have done more to preserve CS jobs than even their own unions.
Too bad onion juice is too stupid to realize that
Let me show you how stupid you are, remember when spongeBob wrote the threatening letter and the island came to a standstill.
Your Union busting party got exposed.
Stupid.
OJ – how many have lost their jobs in the CS?
I’ll help you with the math:
0 x too many CS = 0
You make no sense, San George.
In the realm of politics and professional etiquette, that was a very well written and genuine piece.. well done Premier.. impressive even.. ,, Everyone have a good holiday..
It was probably written by a civil servant. But no matter what Dunkley says, the civil service must be reduced very soon.
To continually kick the can down the road is foolish!
That maybe the case, but I am only commenting on the Premier showing recognition for the positive attributes of the Civil Service.. Makes a welcome change from the constant attacks and insults which get spouted on this site and around the island in general.
One side of his mouth says yes I hear you and the other side says OFF WITH THEIR HEADS…….Wha?
YOUR NOT WELCOME!!!!!!!
We dont care lmfao
FAKE MILK MAN
Yup!! Truly a FAKE MILKMAN. He has stated that the Opposition has shown GUTTER BEHAVIOUR. There is nothing more GUTTER-LIKE than his lack of professionalism, his lack of truth and clear lack of integrity!!He will never get the total respect he feels that he deserves.
FAKE!!!!
I agree 100%.I am thrilled that they are not welcome. Too disrespectful and gutter-like.
This man is so full of @#$%, its a shame….dont trust word that falls from your face milkman!!
Good thing um lactose intolerant.
Give yourself a little credit. Your intolerance is much broader than that.
I’ll say!…I just witnessed their commoitment on Scaur hill….you know how you dread driving to dockyard cause Scaur hill would delapidate and wear down your tires quicker?Well…in three days these byes addressed a trench and repair…then paved Scaure hill perfectly!….Aaaahhhhm gonna say it…”again”….perfectly!…in three days!
Sir, can you speak properly, what are “these byes” who talks like that? I am a Bermudian and I don’t, my parents didn’t and nobody in my family. You sound like an idiot.
It appears the Premier never has to deal with the civil service where the rubber meets the road.
With a few exceptions of course, it is neither civil, nor is it much in the way of service. Much easier to place obstructions in the way of serving the public than helping.
