Chairman of the BRFU Society of Referees Norman Lynas said, “On behalf of the BRFU Society of Referees I welcome the Clubs, their members, all involved with youth development, and those who support Rugby here in Bermuda to the 2015/16 season.
“As part of the proud tradition of Rugby Football, respect for match officials has been integral to the ethos and laws of the game both on and off the playing enclosure. The officials are there ,equally with the players ,to enjoy the game.
“In my role as Chairman of the Society of Referees I ask that this tradition be maintained to the highest standards as we endeavor to assist the playing of this fine team sport. There are no changes in the laws of the game for the season ahead.
“Also please be aware that yellow cards are cumulative namely that following 3 yellow cards a player is automatically suspended from playing for 1 week. This matter shall be monitored by the disciplinary committee of the BRFU. Wishing everyone a fulfilling season of Rugby.”
That’s a lot of Rugby for one day. My bones ache just thinking of it.
