BFA Audited Financial Statements Approved
The Bermuda Football Association announced that its financial statements as at 30 April 2015 as audited by KPMG were recently approved by the BFA membership on 15 October 2015.
The BFA stated that it was “extremely pleased that KPMG were able to perform the audit in time for them to be presented and accepted by the membership just some five months after the end of the BFA financial year. Further, the BFA was immensely proud to have received a clean opinion from KPMG.”
The BFA said that it owed “such a successful audit to its full-time staff, in particular, Financial Controller Gideon Kigotho, and elected Treasurer James Davis. We are overwhelmingly pleased, that for several years now, we have had our audited statements produced in such a short period of time.
“We recognize that as a large charitable organization, we are the beneficiary of Government grants, gate revenue from the general public and registration fees from Affiliates and players alike.
“We are reassured that the Government, financial partners and people in general can have an extremely high level of confidence in our accounting and sound financial management of our affairs. We thank everyone involved and look forward to continuing such high financial standards.
“The BFA will now submit the audited statements to the Charities Commission and the Department of Youth & Sports in the Ministry of Community, Culture and Sports.”
