Four Boccia Athletes To Compete In Colombia
Four Bermuda boccia athletes will be travelling to Cali, Colombia to compete in the BISFed World Open which will take place from October 30th – 2nd November.
Steve Wilson, Yushae DeSilva-Andrade, Jaime Brangman and Omar Hayward will join elite boccia players from over 30 countries.
The competition will be the last opportunity for players to gain valuable world ranking points ahead of the World Championships and Paralympics, which will be held next year.

Yushae DeSilva-Andrade, Jaime Brangman and Omar Hayward will play together in the team competition and all athletes will play in the individual competition.
Bermuda’s coach Troy Farnsworth stated, “The team has been preparing well and are looking forward to the challenge.
“Both Steve and Yushae will be hoping to secure a place in next year’s World Championships so this is a really important competition for them and the experience gained on the world stage will be invaluable for Jaime and Omar.
“This will be Omar’s first international competition however he already shows enormous potential and it is very exciting to have another player representing Bermuda.
