Cellone Island Basketball League Gets Underway
The 2015/16 Cellone Island Basketball League Season tipped off inside the Cedarbridge Gymnasium with a double-header that produced 167 points on the night.
The first game of the season saw the defending champions Thunder Cats start with a win over Sky Force 40 – 36. Rye Ahrouson led the Thunder Cats with 8 points, while the Sky Force were led by Raushon Tankard with 13 points.
The nightcap saw Flyboys United start their season with a big win over the Hoopstars 57- 34. The top scorer for Flyboys United was Dion Easton who scored 19 and Junior Warner scored 10 points for the Hoopstars.
