Day #1: RUBiS Divisional Squash Tournament
The 2015 RUBiS Divisional Squash Tournament got underway last night [Oct 20] at the Bermuda Squash Racquets Association Club.
Five matches needed all five games to decide a winner, with Chris Dawson defeating Kion Knights in their A Division Round 1 match 15-13, 11-13, 11-6, 8-11, 11-4.
In C Division Round 1 action, Geoffrey Redmond defeated Charlie Riker 11-7, 8-11, 7-11, 11-9, 11-9, while Shane McDonnell came from two games down to defeat Derek Theisen 9-11, 9-11, 11-5, 11-8, 11-9.
Jamie Ball also came from two games down to defeat Ricky Spence in five games 6-11, 5-11, 11-6, 11-8, 11-6. Jordan Amaral sent reporter James Burton back to his desk to write the story in their D Division Round 1 match. Amaral defeated Burton 6-11, 11-8, 11-3, 9-11, 11-4.
