Court: Dangerous Driving And False Statement
Appearing in Magistrates Court today [Nov 5], 50-year-old Charles Ratteray of Sandys pleaded guilty to dangerous driving and making a false statement to Police on 9th September 2015.
The Crown Prosecutor told the Magistrate that police had observed Mr Ratteray speeding and crossing the centre-line on the Causeway and had finally stopped him on Mullet Bay Rd, St Georges, near Stokes Bay Park.
On being questioned about his ID, Mr Ratteray had given a name that turned out to be false.
On the dangerous driving chargé, Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo fined Mr Ratteray $1,000 and disqualified him from driving all vehicles for eighteen months; and fined him $300 for making a false statement to Police.
