Cyril Simmons & Carmen Adebiyi Join Clarien
Clarien Bank has announced the addition of two new members to its growing Private Banking team.
Bermudians Cyril Simmons and Carmen Adebiyi have recently joined Clarien Private Banking as Senior Private Banker and Private Banking Officer, respectively.
Clarien said, “Mr. Simmons brings more than 15 years of specialised expertise to Clarien Private Banking, including a wide range of senior banking roles in global asset and investment management at HSBC Bank Bermuda [Limited] including Credit Risk Management and Investor Relations.
“He spent six years on the Business Development team at HSBC Global Asset Management before joining the Corporate Banking division in 2010 and becoming Head of Captive and Insurance Banking in 2013.
“Prior to joining Clarien, Carmen Adebiyi was Head of Member Services at the Bermuda Business Development Agency [BDA] and played a key role in facilitating the successful merger between Bermuda Business Development Corporation and Business Bermuda, where she was previously Manager of Administration.
“Ms. Adebiyi brings more than 15 years’ experience in office management, marketing, technology and website administration across both local and international business sectors.”
Head of Clarien Private Banking, Clare Spearing, commented, “We’re delighted to welcome Cyril and Carmen to Clarien Private Banking. They add further depth, experience and expertise to our team as we continue to grow to meet the increasing demand for our services.
“Globally, the number of high net worth clients is increasing and Bermuda is no exception. We are seeing more individuals and families looking for comprehensive and strategic financial advice and, as onshore banks are becoming more restrictive in their relationships with international businesses, we see a lot of opportunities.
“At Clarien Private Banking we pride ourselves on providing unique and complete solutions to meet all our clients’ financial objectives and challenges, however complex.
“Customer service and trust are key and we’ve worked very hard to build a multi-talented, Bermuda-based team that combines proven international experience with a deep understanding of the Island to offer a highly personalised and holistic approach.
“Those skills are especially important when developing long-term financial and estate planning for families whose assets may span generations and several countries.”
Ms. Spearing commented, “Clarien continues to invest in new products and we are excited about the enhanced credit card and e-banking solutions that we will be able to offer our Private Banking clients in the coming months.”
