Awbury To Sponsor Swimmer Rebecca Heyliger
Awbury Insurance Ltd. will be sponsoring swimmer Rebecca Heyliger in her quest to represent Bermuda in the 2016 Summer Olympic Games being held in Rio de Janeiro.
The announcement said, “Awbury Insurance Ltd. proudly announces exclusive support and sponsorship of Bermuda native Rebecca Heyliger in her quest to represent Bermuda in the 2016 Summer Olympic Games being held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in the 50 meter freestyle swimming event.
“Rebecca studied at the University of Southern California [USC], where she earned a Bachelors Degree in International Business and a Masters Degree in Public Diplomacy, finishing with a 3.8 GPA in May 2015.
“At USC she was a competitive swimmer and the captain of the women’s varsity swim team until her graduation. For the past decade she has been a member of the Bermuda National swim team, and currently holds the Bermuda National Record in the 50 long course meter freestyle. This level of achievement required at least 20 hours per week in the pool.
“Awbury’s support will allow Rebecca to concentrate her efforts in the coming year on training and competing to qualify for the Olympics. She will train with a professional team in Los Angeles, whose swimmers include NCAA champions, world record holders and Olympic medalists.
“The coaching staff includes U.S. Swimming Hall of Fame members and several U.S. National team head coaches. Rebecca embodies the qualities that define Awbury; dedicated, strong work ethic, fierce competitiveness, resourcefulness and world class performance and we are thrilled to play a role in helping her achieve her Olympic dreams.”
If only other young “folks” would acknowledge what it takes to succeed in ones endeavors:
“Rebecca embodies the qualities that define Awbury; dedicated, strong work ethic, fierce competitiveness, resourcefulness and world class performance…”
