Man On The Run 5k Run/Walk On November 8
The third annual XL Catlin “Man on the Run 5K Run/Walk” will be held on Sunday, November 8th at Warwick Academy School, with the Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre teaming up with XL Catlin for the third year in a row to help raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer.
Men over the age of 7 years are urged to participate to help raise awareness and funds for prostate cancer in Bermuda.
Participants are encouraged to raise funds to support local men’s health initiatives such as the annual free Health Screening Clinic held on November 19th this year.
The Health Fair provides men, who cannot normally afford it, with access to many supporting health services and physicians. Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre also uses the funds to support the uninsured men in our community have better access to their doctors.
“We are excited and proud to be teaming up with XL Catlin again for this year’s Man on the Run event. Last year we had over 200 men participate and make a choice for a healthy lifestyle by walking or running to help end prostate cancer,” said Tara Soares, Executive Director at Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre.
“All funds raised remain in Bermuda and are used to support local men’s health programmes and services. We are urging the male population in our community to get involved, have fun and most importantly start that important conversation around prostate health.”
