Remembrance Day Parade Next Wednesday
The public is advised that the Remembrance Day Parade to commemorate those who fell in the two World Wars and other campaigns of Allied Forces will take place on Wednesday, November 11, 2015.
The Cabinet Office is also advising that the family members of the veterans are eligible to take part.
A spokesperson said, “To ensure clarity, the Royal Bermuda Regiment has provided a series of guidelines for those veterans and family members for whom it applies.
- Families of deceased or infirm and unable to march veterans, can be represented by a single family member on parade and march in a separate contingent to the actual veterans.
- Additionally eligible veterans and/or family representatives includes all those in receipt of an operational service medal issued by HM The Queen or Allied Country.
“The Remembrance Day Parade starts at 10.30 a.m., at the Cenotaph in Hamilton. The public is encouraged to attend the parade and show their support for those who served in the two World Wars.”
