Video: Terron Webb Wins Competition In St Kitts
Terron Webb, who lives in St. Kitts and Nevis, has won the Jr. Calypso Competition in the St. Kitts National Carnival with his song ‘Youngster’s Unite,’ coming out on top after competing with five finalists.
The young performer also competed in Nevis last year and was ranked first runner up, but had to wait until he was 10-years-old to compete in the St. Kitts competition.
While last year’s placement earned him a prize of $1,500, one year of free internet subscription, and a certificate for his school uniforms, this year’s first place finish saw Terron go home with $2,000, one year of free internet, a cell phone, schools supplies, and school uniform certificate.
Angela Williams, Terron’s mother, said, “There were some Bermudians visiting St. Kitts at the time who came out to support; they made sure their presence was known with their loud cheers of support for Terron.”
