Football: First, Premier & Corona Division Results
BAA, North Village Rams, Robin Hood, Flanagan’s Onions, Hamilton Parish and Somerset Eagles all walked away with wins in this weekend’s Premier Division, First Division and Corona League football action.
Corona League: West End United 3 Tuff Dogs 3
West End United went up 3-0 within the first ten minutes of the game, ex Tuff Dogs players Lamaul Crofton scored twice, while Trevor Corday added the other. Jeff franklin scored twice for Tuff Dogs before Kevin Hurdle scored the equalizer as the two teams played to a 3 – 3 draw.
Corona League: BAA 4 Lock N Key 2
BAA defeated Lock N Key 4 – 2, BAA got single goals from Tom Rego, Fred Eatherly, Logan Phillips and Anthony DeCosta, while Lock N Key’s goals came from Chris Anderson and Jevon Sealey.
Corona League: North Village Rams 1 Butterfield N Vallis 0
Ralph Bean scored the lone goal of this game for the North Village Rams in their 1 – 0 win over Butterfield N Vallis.
Corona League: Robin Hood 3 Flanagan’s Onions 0
Fabio Divoulo, Jake Fox and Richard Caisey all scored a goal each for Robin Hood in their 3 – 0 win over the Flanagan’s Onions.
First Division: Flanagan’s Onions 2 St. George’s Colts 1
The Flanagan’s Onions moved to the top of the First Division standings following their 2 – 1 win over the St. George’s Colts at the BAA Field.
Michael Lindsay Bayley opened the scoring for the Flanagan’s Onions when he found the back of the net in the 13th minute, twenty minutes later it was 2 – 0 to the Flanagan’s Onions when Treshun Smith scored.
Mitchell Tucker pulled a goal back for the St. George’s Colts finding the back of the net in the 73rd minute, but the visitors could not find the equalizer as the Flanagan’s Onions hung on for the win.
First Division: X-Roads 2 Young Men Social Club 2
At the Garrison Field X-Roads and Young Men Social Club played to a 2 – 2 draw. Saki Tuzo opened the scoring for Young Men Social Club finding the back of the net in the 12th minute, Clay Darrell would double the visitors lead when he scored in the 30th minute, but in the 59th minute Paul Simons would pull X-Roads back into the game and then three minutes later Simons would find the back of the net again drawing X-Roads level.
First Division: St. David’s 1 BAA 1
At Lord’s in St. David’s, Willie Clemons would give BAA the lead in the 5th minute only to have Kontaicf Burton equalize for St. David’s in the 64th minute as the two teams shared the points.
First Division: Somerset Eagles 4 Ireland Rangers 2
At the White Hill Field, Nathan Rego scored twice to lead the Somerset Eagles to a 4 – 2 victory over Ireland Rangers. Jordan Santos and Rushaun Seaman added a goal each for the home team, while Sekai Proctor and Jahni Ratteray scored a goal each for the visitors.
Premier Division: North Village Rams 2 PHC Zebras 0
At the Bernard Park, the North Village Rams defeated the visiting PHC Zebras 2 – 0. Pierre Smith gave the home team the lead in the 26th minute when he converted from the penalty spot, Dakai Grant doubled the lead in the 87th minute as the visitors went back to Warwick without a goal.
Premier Division: Somerset Trojans 2 Boulevard Blazers 2
At the Somerset Cricket Club all four goals came in the first half as the Somerset Trojans and the Boulevard Blazers played to a 2 – 2 draw. TiaeVince Douglas gave the Boulevard Blazers the lead in the 7th minute, only to have Trevin Ming equalize for the Somerset Trojans in the 23rd minute. Jonathan Bean gave the Somerset Trojans the lead two minutes later when he found the back of the net, but Niko Smith would draw the Boulevard Blazers level in the 37th minute as the two teams shared the points.
Premier Division: Devonshire Colts 1 Hamilton Parish 3
At the Police Field the visitors Hamilton Parish picked up 3 valuable points in a bid to get away from the relegation zone with a 3 – 1 win over the Devonshire Colts. Donavan Thompson gave Hamilton Parish the lead in the 32nd minute, Thompson would double the lead in the 35th minute and when Chris Caisey scored in the 62nd minute Hamilton Parish held a 3 – 0 lead, four minutes later Vernell Lambe would score for the Devonshire Colts, but that was all the goals scored.
Premier Division: Dandy Town Hornets 0 Robin Hood 1
At the St. John’s Field, Robin Hood have closed the Dandy Town Hornets Premier Division League lead to six points after they were able to come away with a 1 – 0 win scoring a goal in injury time. A hand ball in the box resulted in a penalty for Robin Hood that was converted by Antwan Russell earning the second place team the win.
