Football: First & Premier Division Results
BAA, Young Mens Social Club, Somerset Eagles, Somerset Trojans, Boulevard Blazers, PHC Zebras, and Dandy Town Hornets all walked away with wins in this weekend’s Premier and First Division football action.
First: BAA 3 X-Roads 2
At the BAA Field, BAA came away with a 3 – 2 victory over X-Roads. X-Roads took a 1 – 0 lead when Khomeini Talbot scored from just inside the box in the 12th minute. After a lot of confusion, BAA was awarded a penalty which was converted by Malachi Jones in the 20th minute, Jahkari Furbert gave BAA the lead in the 45th minute as they took a 2 – 1 lead to the break. Furbert would extend the BAA lead with a goal in the 50th minute, but Jamin Furbert would pull a goal back for X-Roads six minutes later.
First: St. David’s 1 Young Men Social Club 3
At Lord’s in St. David’s, visiting Young Men Social Club took all three points following their 3 – 1 win over St. David’s. Clay Darrell gave Young Men Social Club the lead in the 11th minute, but Kontaicf Burton would equalize for St. David’s in the 20th minute. Saki Tuzo would put the Young Men Social Club back in front in the 43rd minute and when Darrell scored his second goal of the game in the 77th minute it earned Young Men Social Club the win.
First: Paget Lions 0 Somerset Eagles 4
At the Southampton Oval, Nathan Rego scored twice to lead the Somerset Eagles to a 4 – 0 win over the Paget Lions. Davin Riley-Clarke and Khani Fray added a goal each.
Premier: Devonshire Colts 3 Somerset Trojans 5
The Somerset Trojans and Devonshire Colts battled at the Police Field with the visitors coming away with a 5 – 3 victory. Dane Simmons headed the Somerset Trojans into the lead in the 16th this was moments after Dion Stovell watched his shot hit the upright. Johnathan Bean doubled the Somerset Trojans lead with a goal in the 43rd minute, Lozendro Symonds pulled a goal back for the Devonshire Colts finding the back of the net in the 49th minute, then in the 60th minute Eli Smith would draw the Devonshire Colts level at 2 – 2. Bean would give the Somerset Trojans a 3 – 2 lead when he scored his second goal of the game in the 73rd minute, he would then complete his hat-trick with a goal in the 79th minute, one minute later it was 5 – 2 to the Somerset Trojans when Antoine Seaman scored, Smith would score his second goal of the game for the Devonshire Colts, but they went down 5 – 3.
Premier: Southampton Rangers 1 Boulevard Blazers 5
Aldonte Smith gave the Boulevard Blazers the lead in the 2nd minute, Ian Coke doubled the Boulevard’s Blazers lead when he found the back of the net in the 32nd minute, Marquel Tankard then made it 3-0 on the stroke of half time. TiaeVince Douglas got in on the scoring act when he scored the Boulevard Blazers 4th three minutes into the second half, before Coke scored his second and Boulevard Blazers’ fifth in the 71st minute, but Shaki Swan pulled a goal back for the Southampton Rangers when he scored in the 81st minute but the visitors came away with a victory 5 – 1.
Premier: Robin Hood 0 PHC Zebras 3
The PHC Zebras took a 1 – 0 lead against Robin Hood in the first minute at the BAA Field, Casey Castle continues his good form finishing the back of the net, in the 25th minute Cecoy Robinson would double the PHC Zebras lead, Robinson would find the back of the net for a second time in the make scoring the PHC Zebras 3rd in the 55th minute as they came away with a 3 – 0 win.
Premier: Dandy Town Hornets 2 North Village Rams 1
At the St. John’s Field, Quadir Maynard gave the Dandy Town Hornets the lead over the North Village Rams in the 35th minute which they took to the break, Maynard would double the Dandy Town Hornets lead in the 55th minute, Keishen Bean would pull a goal back for the North Village Rams in the 90th minute but time ran out for them as the League Leaders Dandy Town Hornets have moved back to a 9 point lead at the top of the table.
