National Squash Championships Results Day #1
The results on Day One of the 2016 Digicel Bermuda National Squash Championships were straight forward with the top seed Micah Franklin defeating youngster Anaya Smith 11-1, 11-5, 11-2, the number two seed Noah Browne also defeated a youngster Dylan Pratt 11-5, 11-1, 11-4.
There was a few surprises in some players who have been out of the sport of squash for a few years, former top ranked junior player D’Vario Thompson made a winning return after a few years break defeating Mark James 11-8, 11-5, 11-5, while another former junior player Elijah Simmons went down on his return in four games to Nick Brewer 11-6, 10-12, 11-4, 11-5.
Only one match went five games with Adam Shields defeating Dylan Muldoon 11-6, 10-12, 11-9, 4-11, 11-5.
