Axis Capital Donates $20,000 To WindReach
Axis Capital recently donated $20,000 in support of WindReach, a registered charity whose programmes and activities exist to enrich the lives of people with special needs through pillars including Therapeutic Riding, Adaptive Sports, Life Skills, and Seniors.
Erica Fulton, Executive Director at WindReach, said, “WindReach provides services for approximately 200 individuals per week. We work with people of all ages and abilities.
“Participants include those with physical and intellectual disabilities as well as those living with mental health conditions such as dementia. WindReach sits on 4 acres in Warwick so we are fortunate that we can accommodate so many different interests and needs.
“Different parts of the property include a petting zoo, community gardens, activity centre, sensory room, playground and therapeutic riding centre.
“We are thankful to Axis for their amazing support over the years for Bermuda’s special needs community!”

Wonderful gift. I just read Axis Capital made $38 million net profits for the first three months of this year 2016. Perhaps their generosity could be extended such that Windreach closure is not emminent. Just a thought.
Maybe some other good corporate citizens could do likewise. It’s really a travesty that a program that does so much good has to wind up. There is plenty of money available to keep it running as a charity. So corporate Bermuda needs to step up.
A very nice gesture, and a very worthy cause. Thank you Axis!
