‘Pickles and Spiced Ham’ Show Set To Return
Atlantic Publishing House, having just completed two successful stage shows, will be bringing its ‘Pickles and Spiced Ham’ show back for a performance with a live band on May 6.
The event will be held at St. Paul A.M.E. Centennial Hall at 7.00pm, with tickets costing $25 and available from Music Box and the St. Paul A.M.E. Church Office, with two additional events also upcoming.
A spokesperson said, “Atlantic Publishing House has just completed two very successful stage shows and is delighted to indicate that it’s much talked about show ‘Pickles and Spiced Ham’ will return with a live band on Friday, May 6th at St. Paul A.M.E. Centennial Hall at 7.00pm.
“Tickets for this musical/comedy/mystery are $25 and can be purchased from the Music Box and St. Paul A.M.E. Church Office. The group has also announced two additional activities.
“On Sat. May 7th from 10.00am to 2.00pm, you can visit the Hubert Smith Mural on Angle Street, opposite The First Church of God. The late Hubert Smith Sr. was a famous Bermuda Calypsonian who composed many songs including his famous ‘Bermuda Is Another World’ and ‘This Little Island.’
“Born May 9, 1918, he died on December 3, 2001. This event on May 7th follows the ‘Hubert Smith’ play that was presented at the Fourways Inn last year. On Saturday, May 7th his music will be played, leaflets on his life given out; enjoy light refreshments and also purchase ‘Music on the Rock’ at a reduced price.
“On Friday, June 10th at 7.00pm, there will be a dinner tribute to Quinton ‘Tiny’ Burgess at Fourways Inn. Dinner and show will be $75 and will feature The Giant Steps Band. Tickets are available from Music Box and Fourways Inn.”
