St George’s Stakeholder Meeting On May 31st
Mayor of St. George Quinell Francis announced that there will be a Hub1 Stakeholders meeting on Tuesday, 31st May at 5:00pm at the World Heritage Centre, Penno’s Wharf, St. George’s.
The Mayor stated, “The recent announcement regarding the increased cruise ship visits to St. George’s starting in 2017 means that St. George’s needs to develop new and promote existing products and experiences.”
“The Corporation of St. George and The Bermuda Tourism Authority [BTA] have partnered to deliver a presentation for stakeholders on what to expect and how we can prepare for 2017” the Mayor said. “These are exciting times for St. George’s”, the Mayor added.
The Mayor continued, “This is an excellent opportunity for existing businesses and new entrepreneurs to take advantage of the information and learn what the cruise visitors want. We need to be able to create experiences that deliver on the expectations of the cruise passengers.”
The Mayor said, “I encourage all stakeholders, businesses, entrepreneurs as well as those that have an interest in the Town to come out and hear firsthand all of the exciting opportunities to be had in St. George’s.”
