MP Leah Scott Denies Unlawfully Entering Home
[Updated] Appearing in Magistrates Court this morning [August 3], Leah Scott was granted bail in the amount of $1,000 after denying unlawfully entering a home in January of this year.
Ms Scott — an OBA MP representing Constituency #30 Southampton East Central — was charged with unlawfully entering a woman’s home in Warwick in January 2016, a charge she pleaded not guilty to.
Magistrates Khamisi Tokunbo released her on $1,000 bail and ordered she have no contact with the complainant.
Update 1.48pm: An OBA spokesperson said, “MP Leah Scott has kept the Party Leader informed about this matter. It is a private concern before the courts and thus we have no further comment.”
