Global Indemnity Re Donate $100K To Charity
Following the company making a $100,000 donation, the Centre on Philanthropy said they are “thrilled that Global Indemnity Re has made such a generous donation to ourselves and nine of our non-profit members.”
“Without such support, non-profit organizations would be hard pressed to meet the growing demand for their programmes and services, which address critical needs in our community,” the Centre said.
“This contribution of $100,000 to the third sector, will have a considerable impact in the lives of the constituents served by every one of the following charities each receiving a $10,000 donation; BZS, Masterworks, BII, BFIS, WindReach, Chewstick, Family Center, The Coalition for Protection of Children, Greenrock, The Center on Philanthropy’.
Elaine Butterfield, Executive Director, said: “Global Indemnity Re, who are celebrating 10 years of doing business in Bermuda, is to be commended for their Corporate Social Responsibility in our community, evidenced by impactful contributions to the community like these.
“We wish to congratulate Global Indemnity Re for all of their accomplishments over the past ten years and sincerely wish them many more years of success.”
Marie-Joelle Chapleau, Chief Operating Officer stated, “Global Indemnity Re is pleased to celebrate our 10 year anniversary by being able to help out 10 very deserving non-profit organizations.
“These charities, as with many others, help and support the entire Bermuda community and we feel that it is our responsibility as a good corporate citizen to help them in these very challenging times.”
This is a significant gift to Bermuda Charities and one to be celebrated and appreciated by the ten charities selected and the people who benefit from their programmes and services.
Investing money in Bermuda charities is often a thoughtful and potentially time consuming task involving a donor aligning their desire for enhancing their community through the funding of services fulfilling that day in and day out.
Global Indemnity Re has clearly worked in partnership with the experience and knowledge of the Centre on Philanthropy board and staff to make their decision while honouring their ten years on island.
Congratulations to all involved with this generosity.
