ABIC Panel Speaks To CedarBridge Students
Twice a year, the Association of Bermuda International Companies [ABIC], takes a panel of young professionals in international business to speak to students at The Berkeley Institute and CedarBridge Academy about their careers.
Last week the panel presented to the combined S2 and S3 student assembly at CedarBridge.
In addition to providing career information they talked about getting good grades to qualify for scholarships and the importance of mentoring, networking, gaining work experience during the holidays and persevering through financial, academic and personal challenges to achieve their goals.
Jevon Washington [AIG], Jozelle Escolastica [RAB], Maya Peart, Ashley Pacheco, Ciara Burrows [Colonial], Temar Richards [Chubb], Ka’Ri Richards, Ibou Barry [BMA], Michael-Jay Landy [Willis], Atiya Furqan, Jenna-Maria Seaman [Expertise].
Ms. Roshanda Caines, Professional School Counsellor at CedarBridge remarked, “We really appreciate the panel guests coming to speak to our students and we want to thank ABIC for making the arrangements for this event to take place here at our school. The students really enjoyed the presentations by the international business professionals.
“Not only were the students able to learn about the different professions within the international business sector but they were also inspired by the life lessons shared by the guest panelists. Very inspiring.”
Very good advice that was given to them, but beware of the glass ceiling.
