Bermuda Cricket Team Defeat Argentina Again
Bermuda registered another win in the ICC World T20 Americas Sub Regional Qualifier by defeating Argentina by eight wickets.
Argentina were bowled out for 99. Kwasi James took 3 for 19, while Jacobi Robinson took 3 for 28
In reply, Bermuda reached 100/2, but they are using the opportunity to get in some extra batting practice as this like the Cayman Islands 50 overs match are just that practice matches. The teams made an agreement for Bermuda to bat to 200 and Bermuda scored 200/4.
When Bermuda reached the 100/2 Charles Trott was at the wicket 46 not out and Steven Bremar was 20 not out.
In the end Trott was out for 68, Bremar was out for 27, while Macai Simmons was 40 not out and Terryn Fray was 33 not out.
National Coach Clay Smith said this about the tour, “Overall, I thought we had a very successful tour especially for a team that has not been outside at all until we got to Argentina. I thought we acquitted ourselves quite well.
“The Cayman Islands gave a us a good challenge but being victorious in the T20 and winning both our 50 over games has really boosted the players confidence and now it is about putting in six weeks of hard work as we prepare for Malaysia.”
