Inmates Construct Items For Use At Ag Show
The Ministry of National Security advised that the Department of Corrections has once again partnered with the Ag Show Ltd. to provide assistance to the Annual Agriculture Show.
For the third year in a row, and under the supervision of Corrections’ staff, around six inmates have constructed various items for use at the Ag Show.
Recently, Antwon Albuoy, Exhibition Director donated a variety of tools to Westgate Correctional Facility for its vocational workshop programme.
Minister of National Security Wayne Caines thanked Mr. Albuoy for the donation saying, “The Department of Corrections is pleased to accept this kind donation which has come about as a result of a positive private/public partnership.
“We are pleased that the Department of Corrections can do its small part in ensuring that the 2018 Ag Show is a success.”

prisoners should be made to work to earn part of their keep instead of Taxpayers having to foot all their bills.

How about putting part of the responsibility of feeding, housing and clothing on family and next of kin.I don’t want to sound ruthless but I believe back in the day one country billed your family for the bullet used to execute you.
