Photos: School Student Leaders Honoured
Minister of Education and Workforce Development and Acting Commissioner of Education Kalmar Richards recently hosted a Youth Empowerment Seminar to recognise student leaders in all public schools, with more than 100 students and their parents attending the event, held at CedarBridge Academy.
Minister Rabain said, “Service to your school community is both honourable and admirable. When a leader looks to the interest and needs of other people, they can help not just one person but a whole community.
“The small and great sacrifices that you are as leaders do not go unnoticed. I can assure you that your school principals, classroom teachers and the leadership team in the Department of Education are committed to providing you with the instruction, mentoring, and support that will enable you to realize your full leadership potential.
“You are leaders in your school because of the difference you showed in your conduct, your attitude, your achievements, how you help others and how you lead yourself. ”
Congratulations!!
We are proud of you!!
