Photos: Premier Holds Meetings In Washington
Premier David Burt traveled to Washington DC, where he attended meetings with a number of US politicians including Rep. Maxine Waters, Rep. Brian Mast, Rep. G.K Butterfield, Rep. James Clyburn, Rep. Yvette Clarke, Rep. Sheila Jackson, Stacey Plaskett, and Rep. Val Butler Demmings.
Premier Burt tweeted the photo below, saying: “Great to catch up with the longest serving African American woman in Congress, Rep. Maxine Waters [D-CA], ranking member of the Committee of Financial Services to discuss Bermuda’s re/insurance market and the latest steps that Bermuda is taking to combat financial crime
Along with the photo below, Premier Burt said, “Had a great meeting with Rep. Brian Mast [R-FL] to discuss Bermuda’s role in supporting affordable homeowners insurance for Floridians.”
“Met Sen. Bill Cassidy [R-LA] with John Huff of ABIR Bermuda to discuss the impact US tax reform on insurance rates. Also reiterated Bermuda’s cooperation with the US Government to combat financial crime.”
