Maria Esipova Wins Sophie Fraser-Smith Award
Top Model held their model search competition in London, UK on Saturday night [April 7th], with this year marking the introduction of an award named in honour of Bermudian model Sophie Fraser-Smith who passed away last year.
Maria Esipova from Australia won the inaugural ‘Sophie Fraser-Smith Models Model Award’, introduced in memory of Bermudian model and Top Model team member Sophie-Fraser Smith, who was tragically killed in a road accident in 2017. She was 21-years-old.

In a post on Instagram, Ms. Esipova said, “I cannot express how happy I am being announced the Top Model Worldwide 1st Runner Up! This was truly an amazing experience and so much to learn from! Especially being the leading model and opening the show which was absolutely fantastic and so-so special!
“But the most touching part for me was receiving the Sophie Fraser-Smith Model’s Model Award 2018, I cannot express how honoured I feel to have received it and how much it means to me!”
