Bermuda Stroke Play Championships Round 2
The second round of the Bermuda Stroke Play Championships was played at Port Royal Golf Course yesterday [June 16].
The heavy rain during the night and into daylight hours yesterday morning created some challenging situations with the bunkers, many of which had not drained at the commencement of play, but on the positive side, the wind was down and made for some low scoring.
Jarryd Dillas and Will Haddrell both shot a one under par 70 and most players found they improved on their 1st round scores.
In the Men’s Championship, Jarryd Dillas is leading Will Haddrell by 2 strokes while Walker Campbell the joint 1st round leader fell back a little with a two over par 73 today.
In the Ladies Division, Elizabeth Parsons continued to apply pressure to her opponents and is now leading by 6 shots over Ebonie Cox.
In the Senior Men’s Division, Hav Trott continued his run with a fine round of 73 and extended his lead to 9 shots over the 2017 champion, Chris Phillips.
The final round takes place today.
