Women’s Development Series Rescheduled
The first in a series of events aimed at promoting the professional development of women in the insurance and reinsurance sectors will now take place later this month after been postponed due to illness.
The Bermuda Insurance Institute is organizing a programme of events over the next 12 months which will concentrate on finding specific solutions to roadblocks preventing women from prospering in the re/insurance sector.
The programme was due to begin last month with a lunch and learn event featuring a conversation between Kathleen Faries, Head of TMR Bermuda, and Fiona Luck, a long-time industry Executive who was recently appointed to the Lloyds Franchise Board.
However, Ms Luck was ill and the event, called ‘What We Wish We Had Known….” will now take place on Wednesday, June 27 at 12.30pm at O’Hara House, on Bermudiana Road. It is being jointly sponsored by BF&M and Tokio Millennium Re.
