US Consulate, BUEI To Show ‘Captain America’

The U.S. Consulate is partnering with the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute [BUEI] to offer a free summer film series May – August.

The public is welcome to attend a free matinee on the last Saturday of each month featuring films that cover a range of interesting topics from women in science, ocean conservation, endangered wildlife and American history.

The festival continues on July 28 with Marvel’s Captain America: The First Avenger, a superhero film set during World War II – where a rejected military solder is transformed into a super-soldier determined to stop a villain pursuing world domination.

Produced by Marvel Comics, Captain America is part of a popular movie series of American comic book superheroes including Spider-Man, Iron man, Black Panther and Hulk.

The cast of Captain America features Chris Evans, Tommy Lee Jones, Hugo Weaving, Hayley Atwell, Derek Luke and more.

Showtime starts at 2:00 p.m. and seating is first come first served. Admission is free however, you can reserve a ticket for entry at BUEI’s Ocean’s Gift Shop, by calling 292-7219 or online at ptix.bm

The free summer film series began on Saturday, May 26 at BUEI with Hidden Figures in May and Matt Shepard is A Friend of Mine in June. The last film of the series will be shown on August 25.
