More BS for the blind faithful to lap up

    • Onion Juice says:

Its refreshing to hear someone in authority that is precise and forthcoming other then the previous administration that was suspect and bombarded with protests.
Kinda like how America is putting up with de Trump administration.

      • Bruh says:

Burt said, Burt added, Burt stated, Burt claimed…. Talk is cheap Burt.

You have done NOTHING to improve education. You have done NOTHING to improve Health Care. You have done NOTHING to improve Public Transportation. You have done NOTHING to improve the economy. You have done NOTHING to improve employment opportunities. You have done NOTHING to lower the cost of living. You have done NOTHING to boost investor confidence. You have done NOTHING to reduce of debt. You done NOTHING to improve race relations and unity. You have done NOTHING to improve the lives of Bermudians!!

The only thing you have done is travel

  2. Proud 2 B Bermudian says:

    Excellent and thank you Sir

    • Secret says:

Looking forward to you licking his shoes while you are jobless and homeless

    • Grand poopah says:

Thank you. Your brain wash is complete go and stand with OJ and Lavern.

  3. HELLO OBAERS says:

The Brilliance of Burt, well done! His favorite school how great this it and what a great choice of place. Loving it!!

    • LOL says:

      lol..

      What a gullible bunch….so sad.

    • sandgrownan says:

      Loving what exactly?

There was nothing in there that demonstrated any knowledge better than high school level grasp of economics. Nothing. Without a strong economy all the grand plans and schemes will fail. He cannot tax and spend his way out of this one.

Bermuda is on an economic knife edge. And it’s his voters who will feel the pain the most. What is he doing to tip the balance favourably?

We know the OBA did the right thing even if it was electoral suicide, but what are the PLP going to do? What’s the plan to increase cash flow in the local economy, create demand for goods and services?

      It’s sadly lacking.

TBH, I don’t care about PLP or OBA, they both have their strengths and weaknesses but I do care strongly about our island home.

Nothing so far, apart from good sound bites, has been presented this year to build any confidence in the ability of the PLP to build a sustainable economy. I still see the usual suspects running around peddling influence and perpetuating the divide, I see open bigotry and an often invisible premier unable to demonstrate true leadership.

      My grade?

4/10, does not meet expectations, must try harder.

  4. Stevie says:

    B****t Once again.

    • Stevie's Brah says:

      Trolling Stevie HATING again!!! (SIGH)

BERMUDA hate (by haven’t gotten over their lose OBAers) is attempting to divide and conquer you. Be on the lookout for their trolls folk. They are on this site DAILY doing their best to PERVERT YOUR MINDS,

Yo bro find LOVE you would be HAPPIER!

      • sandgrownan says:

PLP MP’s are already exercising their influence to favour family members. The Friends & Family plan is in full swing again.

How do you feel about that?

We are all watching, and it will be revealed.

      • Stevie says:

Go put your stupid head in the toilet. Flush it then you’ll find all the plp bs will be flushed away. Brah

  5. Golly says:

Fairer Bermuda? How can you say this when members of your own party have been quite vocal about how racially biased they are..

Lets quote Col Burch just this month in Bernews aricles- July 9th: “This Government is determined to support and uplift Black, small and medium-sized Bermuda businesses, not shut them down,” the Minister continued.

and again: Col Burch July 9th : “This Government is working every day to help more black businesses get off the ground and so there is no way we or I would participate in destroying one.”

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN TO THOSE OF US THAT ARE “MELANIN DEPRIVED”: – THE PLP IS NOT LOOKING TO HELP SMALL BUSINESS, THE PLP IS NOT LOOKING TO SUPPORT STRUGGLING BUSINESSES. THE PLP IS NOT LOOKING TO SUPPORT NEW ENTREPRENEURS. THE PLP ISN’T EVEN LOOKING TO SUPPORT OUR YOUTH IN BUSINESS. COL. BURCH HAS MADE IT VERY CLEAR: THE PLP IS LOOKING TO SUPPORT BLACK BUSINESSES.

The fact that NOT ONE MEMBER of the PLP corrected him says volumes. I’m not a fan of Burch but it has more to do with the man in the regiment, and less to do with the politician. However, I do respect him because he has been the only one in the party to state how he truly feels and what the PLPs agenda REALLY is. I do not agree with his opinion as I believe the PLP should be looking to HELP SMALL & MEDIUM BUSINESSES – PERIOD, not just those owned by black Bermudians. But at least I know where I stand. My respect for Burt and others in the party is all but gone because NOT ONE person stood up to Col Burch. So, one must conclude that either the old PLP boys (Burch, Brown, Burgess) are really still in charge, or they agree with what he said. I did not vote PLP this time but I had in the past. I was okay with the “new” PLP winning the last election because I saw some new fresh faces that I believed would to the best for ALL. Sadly, this does not appear to be the case. New puppet, new strings, same puppeteer.

If someone within the OBA had rade a racially biased statement there would have been work stoppages, protests, marches, calls for them to step down etc.. When Burch makes a racially biased statement….lets just say the silence was deafening.

    • Kai says:

You have a problem with blacks being helped by the government?

  6. Moments says:

    Tell Me Mr Premier

The homeless guy, Keith, do you know what foods he can eat and what he can’t? I’m just an expat, and I know what he needs. Why is he still homeless? Why is he still on the streets begging while you ride around in your chauffeur driven car. Shame on you.

  7. Onion Joke says:

Tour De France was way more interesting.

  8. mixitup says:

Thank you for the inspiration Premier Burt! Great Progress indeed!

    • Real Deal says:

      Yes, I feel it.

      • Double S says:

What do you feel? The declining retail sales? Continued loss of jobs (strange that the jobs report still hasn’t been released)?

        What does it feel like?

  9. Realist says:

    Horrible! Total spin.

  10. sandgrownan says:

    Empty. Suit.

  11. Carlton says:

all designed to keep the sheeeple happy as our taxes keep going up smmh

  12. jt says:

‘S&P ratings up’ – thank you Bob Richards.
April retail sales down and lowest it’s been in last three years – did I miss that part of his speech?

  13. Double S says:

The PLP taking credit for the S&P rating is just wrong.

The report clearly states the below:

“The positive outlook reflects our expectations that, in the next two years, Bermuda’s economy will continue to see positive, although fading, real growth largely from revived tourism demand following the Americas Cup in 2017, and the effects of several large-scale construction projects.”

The upgrade was down to OBA initiatives that the PLP and their supporters actively tried to shut down and/or boycott. But despite their actions as Opposition they now have the nerve to claim credit for the rating agency’s decision.

    Absolutely shameless, but not surprising.

    • sandgrownan says:

Sssh….facts don’t favour PLP “reality”….but it doesn’t matter. The voting masses don’t care, because it’s their team.

A year from now, however, if Davey BitCoin presents another lackluster and empty address, they’ll be getting restless.

      • jt says:

I doubt it. Bitcoin is pretty shiny. Isn’t it? And don’t forget the give aways. Those always work for a while.

  14. Real Deal says:

Yes very impressive gentlemen may he live in good heath for a very long time

  15. Stormy daniels says:

How come there’s never no mention of our debt anymore????
