Court: Man Charged With Threatening MP
Appearing in Magistrates Court today [Sept 10] a 55-year-old man was charged with stalking and threatening Michael Scott, who is the elected MP for Sandys North.
Perry Smith faced multiple charges, including allegedly stalking Mr Scott and causing Mr. Scott to receive a written threat to kill him.
Smith is charged with having a knife in a public place in Sandys on September 8th.
He was not required to enter a plea as the charges are indictable, and is due back in court on October 1st during the monthly arraignment session.
