Sixth Named Storm Of 2018 Hurricane Season
Tropical Storm Florence — the sixth named storm of the 2018 hurricane season — is “not a threat to Bermuda at this time”, the Bermuda Weather Service said, with its closest point of approach to Bermuda within 72 hrs forecast to be 1344 nm to the ESE at 6pm Tuesday [Sept 4] with the BWS noting that “this system may move closer to Bermuda after this time period depending upon its track.”

The latest forecast from the U.S. National Hurricane Center said, “At 500 PM AST [2100 UTC], the center of Tropical Storm Florence was located near latitude 15.6 North, longitude 29.0 West.
“Florence is moving toward the west-northwest near 16 mph [26 km/h], and this general motion is expected to continue through Tuesday.
“Maximum sustained winds are near 45 mph [75 km/h] with higher gusts. Some slight strengthening is forecast during the next few days. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 45 miles [75 km] from the center.”
Hope we don’t have to call the regiment out. If that fails we can use the bus drivers with all the cancellations

Dispite your subliminal biased steriotypical comment, we in Bermuda are envied around the world for our prompt hard working response teams that puts out Island back in working order, and they should be commended for their brave tasks while getting our electricity back on, clearing debri from our roads and covering roofs while cowards like you bunker down for safty.
But yet you find time to share your personal vendeta of how you feel about bus drivers, same attitude why Trump was’nt invited to attend Mcaines funeral.
