Stedman Graham Speaks At Family Center Event
[Written by Don Burgess]
Stedman Graham was in Bermuda to speak at a Family Center event but also created photo opportunities for Bermudians this past weekend.
Mr Graham, who is an author, motivational speaker, and businessman, is perhaps better known as Oprah Winfrey’s partner.
Locals took selfies with Mr Graham at the event at the Newstead Hotel, but also grabbed photos with him at Divots Restaurant at Belmont Hills as well as other places.
Lynwood Richardson, better known as Brotha Richie, told Bernews he was invited by his brother Desmond Crockwell.
He said, “I was struck by the fact that I was getting to meet Oprah Winfrey’s boyfriend, but when I actually sat down with him, it wasn’t even about Oprah. When he began to tell his story, I realised that this man is no joke.
“Any man that can hold the heart of a woman as powerful as Oprah gets my ultimate rating. That’s why I gave him the nickname ‘Steady’ on his Club Hobby Zone Membership card. Any man that can have the love and respect of a woman such as herself has to be a ‘steady’ man.
“I do not want to be like him, but I do hope that if I apply the nuggets of wisdom that he shared with me, I would enjoy my personal ideals of success, happiness, and ultimately peace. I left that meeting eternally grateful to Martha Dismont and The Family Center. With all that the brothers and I have been through it felt good to be treated for once.”
Antonio Belvedere, who also met him at the Newstead event, said, “I got a call Thursday afternoon asking if I could attend a breakfast with Stedman and I wasn’t going to pass that up as I’ve heard great things about him.”
Mr Belvedere went with five other men who have their feet on the ground working for our community “to try and make it a more positive and loving place.”
“We spoke about what we do and what we want to do, and his main thing was care for you first as you can’t help people if you can’t help yourself.
“Where I am in life, I feel this was a message from God to me. I needed to hear every word that came out of his mouth on Friday since which I have been taking care of self and planning a road map for me for my success.”
Mr Belvedere was thankful to Martha Dismont and Darren Woods for being able to attend the event.
Some bizarre quotes in this one.
Indeed.
It’s all about me first? We have too much of that attitude here.
