Christmas Boat Parade To Set Sail Tomorrow
St. George’s will be hosting a Christmas Boat Parade tomorrow [Dec 1] starting at 6.30pm, promising a fun-filled holiday-themed evening including a visit from Santa Claus, music, and a beautiful view of nearly 20 boats aglow in the harbour.
In an online post, The St. George’s Boat Parade Committee said, “For the first time ever, St. George’s will host a boat parade during the festive season. We invite you to decorate your boat and join the flotilla in St. George’s harbour.
“And, with plenty of viewing spots, it’s sure to be a fabulous community event. The event will kick off with a visit from Santa Claus himself on the main Town Square from 5.00-6.30pm. Candy, music and other fun things for the kiddies.
“Then the boat parade begins at 6.30. The party continues into the night at The Wharf Restaurant and Bar – Somers Wharf, Bermuda, which will feature DJ Malcolm ‘Lethal Weapon’ Smith.
In addition, as seen by the poster below, the St George’s Dinghy & Sports Club is inviting guests to enjoy the spectacle from the comfort of their establishment, promising a “whole harbour view” from their balcony, with drink specials on offer.
