Photos & Video: Children’s Reading Festival
The Bermuda Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority held their 19th annual Children’s Reading Festival today [Nov 3] at Victoria Park, with the event aiming to promote literacy by providing a free book to children.

The Chairperson of this year’s event, Shawnette Smith, previously said, “This is a signature event for Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. in Bermuda. It is designed for children from birth to Primary 6. Attendees will participate in storytelling, literacy games, and arts and crafts. There will also be fun castles, face painting and popcorn.”

Looks like fun.
I don’t see anyone reading.
There were book giveaways, story readings in the gazebo area.
But there were other activities as well such as an area to paint, or use chalk to compose whatever the little ones chose.
