Scott Barnes Places 2nd At Daytona Kart Week
Bermuda’s Scott Barnes, competing during the World Karting Association’s Daytona Kart Week being held at the world famous Daytona Motor Speedway finished second while competing in the 125 Sprint Shifter Class.
Barnes is, in fact, competing in two classes of karts on both the road racing course and outer oval track at the renowned speedway.
Barnes began his competition in the Stock Honda 125 Class, however was forced out of the race following an accident midway through, when another kart competitor spun and crashed into Barnes.
In the race he did complete among the Shifter racers Barnes recorded a fast lap of two minutes, 14.046 seconds.
