Basketball: Concordia Defeat Bermuda Team
The Bermuda Basketball Association National Select Team began their 2019 Montreal Tour.
Steveland Brown-Darrell, Adam Correia, Jaren Haley, Linden Jackson, Kameron James, Eric Lambert, Vernon Lambe III, Caelin Peters, Yusef Riley [Captain], and Seward Smith took to the floor to face off against Concordia, with the team being led by coach Gavin MacKenzie.
In their opener the Bermuda team were defeated by a score of 110-70.
Concordia got 21 points from Olivier Simon, while Sami Jahan added 14 points, Simons also led the team in the rebound department grabbing 10, while Jahan had 5 assists.
Bermuda were led by Jackson who scored 21 points, while Riley added 12 points, and Haley was the only other player in double figures with 10 points.
Riley led the team in rebounds with 9 and Jackson had 3 assists.
