Delray Rawlins Wins ‘Performance Of Month’
Bermuda’s Delray Rawlins has won the Porsche ‘Performance of the Month’ award for August following his maiden first-class century.
This was posted by the Sussex team that he competes for in England, with the club’s announcement saying, “Delray Rawlins was named winner of the ‘Porsche Performance of the Month’ award for August following his maiden first-class century against Lancashire in the Specsavers County Championship.
“The incredible knock saw Rawlins reach his century off just 99 balls, and included 12 fours and three sixes – the last of which was still rising just before crossing the rope in front of the pavilion. Rawlins’ stunning innings was one of four performances shortlisted in a poll voted on by the @SussexCCC followers on Twitter.
“Reece Topley, who took 4-33 on his Sharks debut, Tymal Mills, who took 2-16 against Surrey, and Alex Carey, who also enjoyed an impressive debut with 78 against Somerset, were the other nominees.“
