Premier David Burt Visits Washington DC
“Premier David Burt travels to Washington DC where he will continue Bermuda’s outreach to key Members of the United States Congress and other business and international leaders”, according to a Government spokesperson.
The spokesperson said, “As part of the Cabinet Office’s overseas internship programme, Anthony Howell was based in Washington DC with theGroup, Bermuda’s representative agency in Washington. This trip will expand on the efforts of this young Bermudian Intern who initiated the planning for Premier Burt to host Members of the U.S. Congress in Bermuda in the coming months.”
Premier David Burt said, “I am very pleased that Mr. Howell was given the opportunity to intern in Washington this summer, gaining valuable knowledge and understanding of Bermuda’s relationship with the United States Government. The renewal of this highly beneficial internship programme and the addition of placements in our overseas offices fulfills our promise to ensure that Bermudians get the experience needed to compete in the global economy.”
