Vehicle Fire Extinguished In City Of Hamilton
Emergency services responded to a vehicle fire on Reid Street in the City of Hamilton tonight [Dec 6]. Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service [BFRS] personnel extinguished the fire which involved a taxi.
BFRS spokesperson Staff Officer Scott Quinn said, “Fire Dispatch received a call via 911 at 5:38pm this evening reporting a vehicle fire at Reid street and Burnaby Hill.
“The fire service responded with 3 vehicles and a total of 7 firefighters.
“Upon arrival Sgt Delton White reported seeing one taxi involved in flames. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire using foam.
“The incident is under investigation.”

Can we get the story regarding the massive smoke cloud in/around/near Hamilton around 4 am today. I bolted awake thinking there was an electrical fire as my bedroom was full of smoke. Realized every room was thick with the smell. Went outside for some fresh air and was greeted with an unreal amount of smoke blanketing everything I could see.
