First & Premier Division Football Results
Footballers in both the First Division and Premier Division were in action this past weekend, with the Devonshire Colts, St. George’s Colts, Vasco, North Village Rams, and PHC Zebras all earning wins, while four other matches ended in draws.
First Division: Devonshire Colts 2 – Flanagan’s Onions 0
At the Devonshire Rec, the Devonshire Colts defeated the Flanagan’s Onions 2 – 0. Jibri Salaam gave the Devonshire Colts the lead in the seventh minute, with Chemarl Henry doubling the lead in the 54th minute to earn them the three points.
First Division: St. George’s Colts 4 – Ireland Rangers 0
The league leading St. George’s Colts continued their winning ways in the division with a 4 – 0 win over visiting Ireland Rangers at the Wellington Oval.
The St. George’s Colts got two goals from David Signor and single strikes from Macai Simmons and Alleyne Francis.
First Division: Wolves 0 – Hamilton Parish 0
The Wolves and Hamilton Parish played to a scoreless draw at the Garrison Field.
First Division: Vasco 4 – Young Men Social Club 2
At Bernard’s Park, Vasco defeated Young Men Social Club 4 – 2. Vasco got single goals from Ricardo Ponte, Ryan Smith, Kevin Cabral, and Jordan Watts, while Ramon Smith and N’Zyah Edwards scored a goal each for Young Men Social Club.
Premier Division: Southampton Rangers 1 – Boulevard Blazers 1
The Southampton Rangers and the Boulevard Blazers played to a 1 – 1 draw at the Southampton Oval.
After a scoreless first half, Ian Coke scored his second goal of the season to give the Boulevard Blazers the lead in the 55th minute. Shayne Hollis leveled the score for the Southampton Rangers in the 76th minute.
The result sees the Boulevard Blazers pick up their first point of the season with the draw.
Premier Division: Robin Hood 0 – Dandy Town Hornets 0
In a top of the table clash at the BAA Field, league leaders Robin Hood and third place Dandy Town Hornets played to a scoreless draw.
Premier Division: North Village Rams 1 – Devonshire Cougars 0
The North Village Rams are now the Premier Division Leaders following their 1 – 0 win over the Devonshire Cougars at Bernard’s Park.
The lone goal of the game came from Jaizel Smith-Deshields.
Premier Division: Somerset Eagles 3 – Somerset Trojans 3
The Somerset Eagles and Somerset Trojans played to an exciting 3 – 3 draw.
The Somerset Eagles got two goals from Nathan Rego and a 90th minute goal from Ethan Fubler, while the Somerset Trojans got goals from Dion Stovell, Deunte Darrell, and a stoppage equalizer from Jaden Ratteray-Smith.
Premier Division: PHC Zebras 4 – X-Roads 1
At the PHC Stadium, the PHC Zebras defeated X-Roads 4 – 1. The PHC Zebras got two goals from Marco Warren and single strikes from Na’eem Griffith and Corey Booth, while X-Roads’ lone goal came from Jamin Furbert.
