BFA: HPWC Fined $450, Coach Suspended
The Bermuda Football Association [BFA] has applied sanctions to HPWC due to playing an ineligible player, which includes a fine of $450, the coach being suspended for the next two matches, and a one point deduction.
A spokesperson said, “Due to HPWC playing an ineligible player the following sanctions have been given:
First Division January 26, 2020: HPWC vs YMSC Won – 1-0
“HPWC have been adjudged to default the match and the opposing team namely YMSC is declared the winner of this match and will be awarded the score of 3-0. HPWC is fined $150 and the coach suspended for HPWC’s next match.
First Division February 2, 2020: HPWC vs St Georges Lost – 3-0
“HPWC have been adjudged to default the match against St Georges. As the losing team and second offfence, HPWC is fined $300 and further to the suspension, the above HPWC coach is suspended for another HPWC match [two-match suspension]. HPWC will also receive a one point deduction.
“In summary, HPWC is fined a total of $450, the coach is suspended for the next two matches, the club will incur a one point deduction, and the player is suspended until further notice.“
